Halloween Fun...

We've been settling back into normal life since the wedding - just work, Bella, and generally having little free time. Halloween was totally a set of last minute plans this year as our normal family plans didn't come together (until 6pm the night before - um no, we're not driving out to OC because you suddenly got your head out of your butt, it's not like Halloween changes dates every year!).

We started off the morning with a twist on tradition.... normally we go to TGIFridays (bleh normally) after all of the Halloween nonesense is said and done for late night Happy Hour. With Bella though we decided to modify things and just go for an appetizer lunch. Then we followed it with a field trip to Bevmo and a stop to Jamba Juice for Pumpkin Smash smoothies, which someone really enjoys:

We decided to do a spread of snacks, sweets, and booze and just stick it out at home, take Bella for a bit of trick-or-treating, hand out candy, and just generally have a good night with our best friend and his girlfriend. We bought Bella's costume when I was pregnant for her at the OC Kid's Consignment Sale for all of $1 so we were pretty surprised it fit this year (I was slated to make her a candy corn outfit). We did a bit of decorating with some of the decorations that weren't utterly destroyed in the move:

Once it got dark enough we did about five houses worth of trick or treating then came home and spent the rest of the evening inside.

We ended up stuffing ourselves silly, handing out enough candy for about 70 trick-or-treaters, and having a pleasant buzz going while we watched AMC's Walking Dead. All & all, a good night!
