Eight Months

Four more months and my baby won't be a baby anymore - where the hell did time go? Since she has started crawling she has no interest in laying flat on her back for anything whether it be diaper changes, putting clothes on, or taking pictures.

At eight months she:

- STTN! You know, once she CIO for 5-10 minutes every.single.night as she has since March. Putting her back into our bed to co-sleep was about fifteen steps in the wrong direction and as much as it breaks my heart, a well rested family (all three of us) is a happy family.

- is still BFing on demand. I've been BFing now for seven months & a week and during those first three weeks I pumped until her tongue-tie was healed and we both learned how to BF again.

- is wearing 6-9 month clothing & is in Size Two Thirsties Duo Wrap covers in the smallest setting.

- is doing BWL (baby lead weaning) with great success. She hates purees and is so fiercely independent that she wants to do everything herself. Plus she "baby birds" everything she sees us eating or drinking.

- will drink from a cup, water bottle, or with a straw.

- still is a horrible napper. The best bet for her to take a nap is to take her out shopping - not the car ride - she usually falls asleep in Target. Otherwise if we attempt at home it's 40+ minutes of screaming followed by 15 minutes of sleep.

- crawling for a few strides before going back to army crawling.

- is able to pull herself up to stand (on me, the coffee table, the bed, the sides of the bath tub, you get the idea) and cruise along for a few steps.

- while not officially speaking, she is making strides in the right direction. Her cries are now "omomomomomom moooommm omomom" & she screams and squeals at our animals.
