Not dead, just sick.

I've had a bronical/sinus infection now for FIVE freakin' weeks. Three rounds of antibotics... some days are better than others. Oh, and the little one? She picked up a cold from Gymboree. I'm still hoping she gets her dad's immune system and not mine.

Last month we celebrated being homeowners for a full year. What did we get ourselves? A whole assload of responsibility.

Momma came in with what we thought were seizures but ended up being full fledged pnemonia. We began supplement feeding them at a week old (we got them when they were three days old) & finally taking over full time feeding once Momma was put in the hospital. They're five weeks old today! For the nerds in the group, they're named after Game of Thrones characters. :)

In other not-so-exciting news, we decided the start of summer was a PERFECT time to start ripping apart our backyard and re-doing the sod, the side yard, the trees, etc. You know, when it's 101 degrees in our backyard for the first several hours of the day. Right now we have two huge piles of dead sod/dirt clogging up space on our patio until our dumpster arrives this weekend. We also learned from our neighbors that day laborers were responsible for laying the original sod, plastic borders (anchored in concrete! what a fun surprise), and the most fucked up sprinkler system anyone on our street has ever seen. This project will probably take us all summer (and a ton of $$$) to redo but we like a challenge.
